Jim Cohen & Ronstadt Revue- California tour, March 2023

Post by Jim Cohen »

California here we come!

It's been in the works for over a year but it's now official that we'll be on tour in the Bay Area & Central Valley, CA from March 22nd thru 25th. Hope some NorCal Forumites can make it out to one of these shows, which will include John Beland, Linda Ronstadt's former guitarist (and former member of the Flying Burrito Brothers). Please spread the word to your area peeps. Thanks!

You'll go to any lengths to keep me from seeing you. Just what are you hiding sir? :)

Congrats on the tour.

Skip, I would absolutely love to play in SoCal. Can you hook us up? We'll gladly come back.

Hey Jim, I spoke to you at the Arizona show several years ago, but didn't follow up.

Here's some ideas of places to target in LA area (I don't know anybody at these venues, unfortunately):

Warner Grand Theater, San Pedro:

Super cool old theater, they have a lot of music there -- they actually had a Carole King tribute band a couple years ago so I think they might be into it

Regent Theater, downtown LA:

Janet and Ray Scherr Forum, Thousand Oaks:

(this is the smaller of two theaters here; I've seen Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman there)

Beckman Auditorium at Caltech:

Luckman at Cal State LA:

Troubador, West Hollywood:

Torrance Cultural Arts Center:

Fonda Theater, Hollywood:

Frost Theater, Culver City:

Alex Theater, Glendale:

Another reason I wish I lived in CA!

You'll be safely on the other side of the country on my 80th (March 23rd).

Best wishes for all the gigs. There are lots of good players over there, but you'll show 'em, Jimbeaux!

Why, thank you, Roger! You're very kind. (I don't know why people say such terrible things about you...)

And let me be the first to wish you a very happy and healthy 80th birthday! (Because otherwise, I'll undoubtedly be the last, as I'm sure I won't think of it on the 23rd?!)
