What do you mean by "resonator"?
It looks like a regular banjo to me.

.....as opposed to an open back. The resonator is the more "bluegrass style" and the open back is more "old time style"

Erv - in the banjo world, the term resonator distinguishes a banjo with a closed back (resonator) vs. an open-back banjo. E.g., see this discussion here - https://www.thebanjomountain.com/the-op ... or-debate/

BTW, I gotten gear from Eric - he has really cool stuff. The Sierra is a fully professional mahogany 5-string resonator banjo. They lack the bling of some of the more blinged-out fancy Deerings. If I needed a banjo, I'd be all over this. But I'm banjo'd out at 3. :)
