Just rediscovered this track from the enormously talented and under appreciated Moby Grape. Even with Skippy gone at this point (Jan ‘69), the song writing, vocals and layered guitar parts are just so cool. Great fingerpicking from author Peter Lewis and always hip blues licks from Jerry Miller. Although they were a killer rock band, and having seen them live in ‘67, I can say they had serious musical chops and knew how to arrange a song. Enjoy!

Mike, I've been a Grape fan for ages!
I not only bought all of their albums I also looked for solo recordings of it's members.
There is a German only release called Fine Wine with J.Miller and B.Mosley, that is also good.
Nice of you to give them a mention here.

We can’t ignore their amazing debut album from ‘67. Every song still holds up well. All five wrote and sang, as well as playing. The 3 guitars were always layered, much like Buffalo Springfield.

Not exactly country rock but here’s a couple more of my favorites:

Some semi-useless trivia about the great Peter Lewis:
1) Like so many future guitarists of esteem (Frank Zappa, Larry Carlton, and Jimmy Messina come to mind), Lewis was heavily involved in the Surf Music scene in SoCal in the early 1960s. He played guitar in The Cornells, an outfit composed of the children of Hollywood celebrities.
2) Peter's mom is the movie and television star Loretta Young.
3) Multi-instrumentalist David Lindley is Peter's cousin.
