Chuck Leavell: The Tree Man -Documentary

Post by Craig Stock »

Having played on so many albums and with so many great groups, and also featured on one of my all time favorite recording with John Hughey on the Richard Betts' 'Highway Call' album, this is a great documentary to watch.

My friend John Brabant told me about this which you can view on Youtube or Youtube TV.

It goes through his musical history and his other profession as a tree farmer in George. He won the Tree Farmer of the Year award a few years ago.

Very well done doc with many great interviews with the cream of the crop in music.

Well worth the 2 hours, Thanks John, and good luck with your new saw mill!!
Regards, Craig

I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet.

Today is tomorrow's Good ol' days

Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

(Agree 100% with your assessment of Highway Call. I still play it regularly. Hand Picked is hard to top.)

Thanks for posting the link to "Handpicked" Jack! He once said that the dual leads of him and Duane were inspired by Western Swing bands.
