Herby Wallace Courses, etc.

Post by George Duncan Sypert »

I tried to post this earlier but seems I did not do something right.

Tonight on Facebook I made contact with one of Herby's Daughters to enquire about his teaching aids being available. She replied that she and her sister still have his material available and that it can be shipped.

I do not have any contact info for her but will try and get it. I have seen quite a few folks over the years wanting to get Herby's courses. I also suggested that they contact the forum to make this info known.

Thank you George, that was a great idea to look on facebook. I used the email on Herbie's website a number of times to inquire about courses but got no response.

Wallace Material

Post by George Duncan Sypert »

I did not really look on facebook looking for the info, I just stumbled across it. Saw a post from a banjo player and saw a name that seemed like it might have something to do with Herby so I responded to her post and made the contact. I intend to ask her permission to post her name and info on the forum so this great source of material might be available again. I have most of it but there might even be some that I would want.

Herby's son-in-law is Gary Davis, a champion banjo player and fine guitarist. That must be the connection to his daughter. Like George, I have a number of his courses, but not everything. Let's hope this outcome is a great source for Herbys material.

Herby Wallace material

Post by George Duncan Sypert »

I just had a message from Herby's daughter saying it was ok to post her information on the forum.

Her name is Jenny Wallace Davis. You should be able to make contact with her on Facebook. She did not send me an email address or phone #. Do a search for her name and it should come up. Yes, Gary Davis is her husband. That is all the info I have and I hope it helps to get Herby's Albums, Cds and instruction material back out there and available to those who want it. Her sister also might be able to help. I don't have her name right now although she told me what it was a couple days ago.

Someone who knows how should move or repost this info in the for Sale section.
