New instrumental tune, “The Stagger Step’”
I wrote this one today and it made me smile. Well, wrote is an exaggeration. I didn’t let my mind get in the way of a good tune that seemed to roll off my bar.
I’ve always admired the steel players with a signature style and sound, and they always seem to have instrumental tunes that give a good illustration of their musical personality. This is the first time I’ve written one that has any kind of personality.
This was literally my first time playing through it. Hopefully, I will be able to make a good recording of it soon.
