3rd, 5th, and 10th string.

Post by Stan Joyce »

I was changing out my 3rd, 5th, and 10th string on the E9 neck after every 4th show. Recently I tried the titanium wrapped ernie ball 3rd and 5th as well as the reinforced 10 string. I have done 10 shows and no breakage. I'm scared to do more. However, I recommend these strings. They work for me.

What do you mean by titanium wrapped 3rd and 5th strings?

From Ernie ball:

In addition to treating the wound strings, each plain string features a rust-resistant plating along with a patented reinforcement winding of titanium wire

I wonder what the wrapping of those strings does to the tone.
I would think it would deaden them.
Not for me, that's for sure. :whoa:
