Rickenbacher Bakelite Model B6

Post by Len Amaral »

Patent # 1881229 Rickenbacher Bakelite model B6. From what I am able to search online, this is a 1937.

The metal panels have been changed to wood that a forum member was making some years ago. The tuners were too far gone and were replaced with Kluson Revolution collared G style tuners 19-1 ratio. The pickup is original that is strong and punchy. The volume and tone controls have been replaced. This is a utility playable instrument. I'll put whatever gauge strings and tuning you want. The case shows its age but has been repaired and usable.

$850 includes shipping to lower 48. Donation to SGF upon sale

That 1 1/2" pickup is the bomb! Somebody's going to be very happy with this steel!

If hadn't recently spent way too much money on camera gear I'd be on this in a second!

Sorry for the delay in responding. I had a bit of an emergency to deal with. I responded to the first person that committed to the purchase.

Thanks,

Lenny

Alas, I picked a bad time to stop checking this forum regularly! Beautiful instrument, I actually love the wood panels...but I imagine the line is long of potential buyers...put me in at the end I guess, though, in case everybody else falls through! :)
