Guitar Rag/Steel Guitar Rag Controversy

Post by Guy Cundell »

Most members here would be aware of the controversy over the origins of Steel Guitar Rag. Here is a link to an article of mine, recently published in Nashville, that contains a close examination of the subject. I am most grateful to b0b for hosting it here on the forum.

I actually saw an old recording of steel guitar rag played in the 20’s on guitar and it was identical to Leon’s version. Don’t remember where I saw it or who played it but was old black man. It was done on guitar.
