Hi Rick, that whammy bar is a pretty cool way of overcoming your nerve issue in your hand/wrist and got me thinking. Jeff Beck uses a floating Whammy bar so he can not only go down in pitch, but up in pitch as well? If you could find a way to float your whammy bar like Beck does, you could have the exact same effect as a vibrato that goes above and below the center pitch line. Excuse me if you've already tried it...Nice Fry Pan by the way...

Thanks for the kind words ...

The "Virtual Jeff" can raise and lower the pitch .. you can set the "lower" and "upper" independently ... range 1 semitone to 2 octaves

It's an amazing piece of tech ... saved me from quitting the steel guitar

Does the "Virtual Jeff" change the pitch electronically? When I saw the first video I assumed it was a a typical vibrato arm...

Viva Vibrato, sounds GREAT! Do you remember where you got the bar?
Missed you at HSGA this year, there were some great players there.
It was a real treat to see Capt Ivan & Dee there, he misses the hippie band Cool

I got the zirconia bar here in the For Sale section of the forum last week. I love it Mr. Green. It belonged to Stu Schulman ...

I missed y'all at the HSGA convention ... I watched it on Facebook ... loved your set Cool

The "Virtual Jeff" has two major components ... the controller which is attached to the guitar via adhesive strips (won't hurt the finish of a guitar) .... and a stomp box.

I have it attached to the horseshoes .

The controller has its own connection ( you can go wireless with the included Bluetooth transmitter also) to the stomp box ... the guitar cord also goes into the stomp box. That's where the pitch shifting occurs.

So glad you found a work-around to get the sound you want to hear, Rick. Thanks for all you've done for steel guitar over the years.
