Russ Pahl - Interview - Truetone Lounge

Post by ajm »

Apologies if this has already been covered.

I found this by accident today, it's from April 2022.

Be advised: Typical of most LONG Youtube videos, there are NO TIME STAMPS with the video.
This video is about 90 minutes.

I did a very quick and dirty spot check of the video to maybe save you some time.

00:00 to 01:30: The first couple of minutes have some VERY NICE playing.

01:30 to 53:00: A discussion of Russ's career and other things.

53:00 to 59:00: They start to get into the gear. PSG.

59:00 to 01:05:00: 6 strings.

01:05:00 to 01:09:00: The amp, a Princeton Reverb.

01:09:00 to 01:19:00: Pedals.

01:19:00 to 01:24:00: General stuff.

01:24:00: Some extra PSG pickups stuff.

The end.

I remember Russ from both the Sky Blue Water Boys (country) and White Lightning (hard rock) during the '70s in the Twin Cities. Great player and great guy.
