I use the tuner on a lap steel. It works fine - however the 'sticky' rubber circles shown here are no longer 'sticky'.
I've washed them dozens of times using mild soap and water - a process that renews the stick. However, after years of washing they've lost their strength.
I've contacted Guyatone, the maker. They no longer make or sell this model and do not sell the stick tabs separately - only if I buy a new, old stock tuner.
I like this tuner because it sticks to the top of the steel without any damage. Very handy.
There must be a source for this sticky rubber stuff?
Any help would be appreciated.
