GeorgeBoards Stealth 8 with Legs and Gig Bag

Post by Zachary Walters »

This is a 2008 GeorgeBoards Stealth 8-string. Included are three detachable legs and a gig bag. I am the second owner. When I bought this guitar from the original owner in 2011, George Piburn noted that it would be considered a collector's item. It has Deluxe Tuners, an original Lindy Fralin/GeorgeBoards Super Sonic S8 Single-Coil Copper shielded Pickup, and Blackened KOA Top Parts. I have never gigged with this instrument. It has been used only in practice in a finished basement a couple dozen times, at most.

priced way too low in my little opinion

Hello from GeorgeBoards

Just a quick comment,

Around 2010-12 I made 159 of these Black Beauties (Stealth's) some but few with my original Hula Dancer plexi FretBoards.

The Nut and bridge system is the most Hawaiian Sounding to my ears - of all of GeorgeBoards™ Nut and Bridge systems.

I've retired from Sanding - Painting - Respirators and such, these brass systems will never be made by me again, eg collectible -- as well no more Black Beauties either, since way back then. To be able to purchase it in as good of conditions as this one is incredible and a rare opportunity.

Since I am the original creator and I'm still alive I get to set current 2022 collectors value.

$1500.00 - $2100.00 usd with the legs and gig bag.

Hope this helps.

That is one beautiful guitar.
Emerald Solace acoustic laps and Rukavina steels. Can't play, but I try!

Not on a Market Place

Post by George Piburn »

This instrument is in a different class than that of a common Market lap steel.

Advertising here on the steel guitar forum is more of a courtesy than any expectation of making a sale here.

Don't forget the cost of lap steels is triple in the last year or 2.

I have this exact lap steel and have enjoyed playing it. It’s a good one.
I cannot comment on their price.
