Steel Guitar On Grocery Store Ad

Post by Lee Baucum »

Leave it to a Texas based grocery store, HEB, to have steel guitar music in a television ad!

Very cool Lee,

I have always been a big truckin' fan and just bought a season of the old mid/late seventies TV show 'Movin' On' with Claude Akins and there is plenty of steel guitar on every episode along with the theme song done by Merle Haggard.

Wonder who did the playing I'm sure it was LA based by the show was shot totally on location throughout the country.

Happy New Year!
Regards, Craig

I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet.

That is definitely swinging commercial music, sounds great. Excellent job Travis. We need cool stuff like that here in the NJ/NY area!

The "Movin' On" pilot on YouTube has some steel at 3:00 and the close. Unmistakably Jay Dee.
