New Album, Byways of the Moon

Post by David Easley »

Hi, everyone! It looks like the album I did out in LA about 5 years ago is coming out soon, December I think. The producer, Chris Schlarb, just put out a pre-order for Digital Download or Vinyl.

It was a really great group he put together for it. He selected songs ranging from Thelonious Monk to the Beach Boys to Led Zepplin to Miles Davis and Carla Bley.

Susan Alcorn wrote the liner notes. (Best liner notes I've ever had! What an honor to be written about by such an accomplished steeler!)

Chris sent a teaser single to NPR today.

Dave, that really is an interesting choice of tunes. I got a big kick out of the pairing of In A Silent Way and In My Room for a medley. Susan Alcorn did a wonderful job describing your musical prowess in the liner notes too! I can't wait to hear it.
