Stage One question regarding a detachable armrest pad

Post by Ray Gehringer »

On The Stage One website a "detachable armrest pad" is available as an option with the Encore model Steel. Anyone happen to know if that same armrest pad would work on the Stage One model?

Thanks in advance.

No reason it shouldn't. You'd just have to ask Doug.
The arm rest does require the installation of two mounting lugs into the side of the guitar. The arm rest has two flat metal tabs that slide into the lugs

Are you looking to have the armrest on a new guitar or to mount it on a steel your already own?

I had a Stage One with the armrest, so it must be an option. I liked it enough that I made sure my Encore had one.

If you don't want to modify your steel get the Don Blood armrest. It clamps to the legs and looks nice. I put one on my Stage One and it's great.

I agree with Larry on the Don Blood Armrest idea. I have one on my GFI S-10 Expo, I love it.

Here's a link to Don Blood's site. There is a photo right at the top with one of his armrests on a Stage One. Check it out:

Armrest

Ray,
The Don Blood armrest is a keeper. You won't be sorry if you buy one, believe me - I have one myself on my Stage One, and it's held up well.
In fact, that's my black Stage One guitar in the picture from the link above.
Have fun,
Steve
