Good morning all!
This is my first post with this group and I really enjoy the format and most of all, the great information that you guys (and gals) have to offer. Best 5 dollars spent ever. My question is concerning the Fender G-DEC 30 and if anyone has utilized it for a steel amp. I like the options it has to offer, but cannot get a decent set of parameters for my steel. Needing some advice and or what settings are the best to use on this dinosaur. Any advice or comments would be appreciated. Last case scenario for me to to either sell, trade or what ever for a different amp. Thoughts?

If you already tried the Blackface clean settings that's about it for this practice amp. It was mainly aimed as a practice amp for rock and has a poor speaker and tone for pedal steel. You will get more satisfying results with a steel amp like the Nashville 112. Also Boss Katana 100 is reasonable and gets good results and can be found used cheap. Read the comments on our electronics column for other options.

Thanks for the reply Larry. I used the Tweed Clean option with slight touch of reverb, delay and tri-chorus. Have been researching the Kantana 100 and that seems like the route to take however. Just checking to see if anyone in the forum had used one. Thanks again for the input.
