1973 interview with Buck Owens (mentions Mooney and Emmons)

Post by scott murray »

great interview with Buck and Don on Ralph Emery's radio show in 1973.

Ralph E. brings up Ralph M. around the 6min mark. they talk about Moon's homemade steel and the fact that he played on Buck's current release at the time, the Ain't It Amazing Gracie album. I didn't realize Moon had played on any of Buck's records after the classic late 50s/early 60s stuff.

around 31:30 another story surfaces about Buddy Emmons hearing Under Your Spell Again and Moon's high G# for the first time!

Thanks for posting Scott, very interesting. Somewhere I read that Don Rich was in the studio to listen to Clarence White playing during his Byrds stint. I go through my book about them and hope to find the spot.
