Where/Who’s playing in Texas the first weekend of August?

Who’s playing in Texas the first weekend of August and where?

I’ll be around the around the area of Austin to San Antonio, any recommendations where I should be to meet and hear some good steel playing?

James - yes you are right, Hereford is quite far from where I’ll be. But it could be worth routing a way there at some point depending on time,

Brian - I’ll see about checking that group out, never heard of them - I’m sure I’ll come across loads of bands and groups I’ve never heard of - very excited!

Ricky - if possible it sure would be great to see you play some steel at some point if I’m still in the area after you’re back from your family time of course.

I also think it would be neat to take a lesson or two from anyone down there who teaches or wants to show me some licks and ideas, I’m sure once I’m there I’ll run into many of you fellas once I find a few gigs.

Well Cody; I'm in Luckenbach outside stage...really awesome; from 1pm to 5pm on Aug. 14th...then that night at 8pm at Mercer Dancehall; just couple miles south of Dripping Springs.

Cody- I think Jody Nix and the Texas Cowboys are at the Blue Agave in Blackwell, Texas on that first Saturday? Check Jody’s schedule? Would be a great opportunity to see the great, Jim Loessberg.. One of the best in the business in my opinion. Blackwell is between Sweetwater and San Angelo., All the best ! Randall
