Re: Color Options and details for covers
What happened to stay cool covers down here in Nashville? The website is still up but I haven’t heard anything after reaching out a few times.Ian Worley wrote:If you could make steel covers out of an Aluminet-type reflective fabric they would probably be big sellers. Steel guitars don't do well sitting out in the hot sun on outdoor gigs.Leigh Pollari wrote:Here are the color choices (always adding more) for vinyl:...

Ian, and anyone else interested, I have found a reflective material that seems to work!
I read the temperature of metal that was out all morning in the sun. It read 105 degrees. I covered it with the material, and after 45 min, I rechecked the temperature and it read 73 degrees. It can be folded up easily. It may form wrinkles quickly, but it seems to do the job. The cover is not flimsy, but not too rigid that you can't fold it easily. I also added a soft backing to it. If anyone is interested, you'll find it on my form: https://leighpollari.com/custom-steel-guitar-cover
The cost is $55 + shipping

Cover & Leg Bag
Here’s my new Sho~Bud LDG cover & leg bag made by Leigh Pollari. I chose the marine grade black vinyl and it’s a perfect fit. The seams and corners are reinforced and shows her excellent craftsmanship along with her attention to detail. These pictures were taken less than 10 minutes after unpacking, no wrinkles. Leigh, I’m extremely pleased. Thank you so very much.
