I just started working on the stringmaster kit and I didn’t see any pilot holes drilled for the nut. Do you recommend installing the tuner tray and then getting the nut as close to it as possible?

Have you ever considered any kind of a 10 string model?

I have done a few custom 10 string kits. Just not enough interest in them to do a big batch up.

10 string

Post by Gary Thorsen »

Jimmie, I'd be interested in a 10 string. 3/8 spacing is alright, that's what my gut string is but tighter spacing, aka Emmons/JCH would be preferable for me. Swamp ash body, no preference on the pan. A slotted head design would be fine, through the body bridge, single pickup also. Simple is better IMHO. thnx, Gary

Hi Jimmie!

I saw that you had a D8 Stringmaster kit a few months back. I was getting ready to put an order in, then I saw that you had run out of them. Do you have any plans for another run of those?

Thanks for the hard work you put in!

Any news on whether these kits will be available again on the website? I know ownership has changed recently, so I'm just curious.
