Mike McGee worked with us all the whole show. He helped with stage management, singing, playing rhythm.
Kevin Jones was the "talk of the crowd". His lead guitar was what every show needs. Do Not get any ideas, his calendar is already marked next year for the weekend after Father's Day.
Larry King, an "old timer" for the OSGA shows. I think he has only missed one show in 20+ years. Thanks, Larry for being there for us.
Mr. Keyboard, Roy Rosetta, is another faithful, dependent member of our annual show. I believe I heard Roy telling the radio DJ that he had played in steel guitar shows for 35 years. That's dedication to the steel world. We appreciate you, Roy.
Joe White is a local drummer who received LOTS of compliments from the steel players. Thanks, Joe, for giving up your days for helping our show.
Ken Carter, another local drummer, was an asset to our show on Saturday. Ken also plays drums for our bimonthly meetings.
Clark Cox helped us out on Friday. His name is not a new one in the world of drums. Thank you Clark. We appreciate your dedication to the show. I didn't get a picture of his wife, Patsy, who also helped at the donation desk, selling 50/50 tickets, and sang beautifully with steel player Clovis Richards.
Dave Hodan from Denton, Texas, came up from the Texas Steel Club to give us a set of patriotic songs. He also donated items to our bidding table. Thank you Dave.
Larry Garrett, one of our two Arkansas guest players, played a great set Friday morning. He also sings a few songs. Great job, Larry.
Marty Neer is from Kansas, but he is FAITHFUL to OSGA's bimonthly meetings. He sometimes has played on the previous Saturday night, but it doesn't ever affect his beautiful playing. We appreciate you greatly.
Wayne Morton, Tishomingo, OK, is a wonderful player. Being a past OSGA president, he is a soundboard for me as the current president. He didn't get to attend Saturday show because he went to a high school reunion. I won't tell you which year!!
Mike McGee - If you ever attended Siloam Springs' Convention, Baxter Springs' Show, Branson's Super Show, Oklahoma's Annual Music Show, you saw Mike McGee helping in any way that he was needed. Wonderful person as well as musician. Appreciated greatly.
Nolan Burns is an 11 year old guitar player from Carl Junction, MO. He is currently taking lessons from Bob Massey. Good job.
Clovis Richards, one of the founders of the OSGA, is one of the first players I met when I joined the club. Clovis is a great player and an asset to our club. Thanks, Clovis.
Janet Lynn Wise, a Texas Hall of Fame recipient, always shows us why she was chosen for that award. Love you, Janet Lynn.
Jason Stilwell is a good player who has a great sense of humor added into his steel guitar playing and singing. He's quite the entertainer. He is a blessing to Larry King when Larry needs a bass break. Thanks, Jason.
Gene Crain is one of our OSGA members. He's always a good one to hear. Thank you for being part of our show.
Bob Garrett, another Arkansas player, not only plays but sings or sings along with others. Enjoyed your set, Bob.
Rick Crow, one of our local players/members. If you missed Rick's set, you missed a great one. He brought energy and uniqueness to our day. I loved his selections and his playing. Thanks, Rick.
Ed Doty, a local member of our club, brought the band with whom he has been performing for the last year. It is the Doyle Woods and Honky Tonk Healing Band. Dusty Harper, Dawn Shaw, Russ Roberts, Wayne Young, Jon Moody, Doyle Woods and Ed Doty, you had a great performance. They play frequently at the Collinsville Crown Theater.
Tony Tipton is a great musician from Wagoner, OK. He has been playing about 10 years and sounds wonderful. He also has a lot of fun while he is on stage, because he knows that Roy Rosetta and Paul King (both Texans) are going to give him some friendly teasing about OU.
Terry Canida, another Oklahoma steel player, always brings a good set to our show. He and his wife, Oleda, sing beautifully together. Thank you Terry for coming up, even if you only get to stay for a short time.
Kevin Jones - We knew how he had sounded on the lead guitar, but we were totally blessed with him on the steel. He and his wife, Chasity's singing was absolutely beautiful. It's wonderful making new friends!
Byron McKedy - Wonderful player, but along with that, he gets to play with his son, Austin on the guitar, and his daughter Mackynsie on the fiddle. He has definitely passed that music ability right on down to his children.
Beverly Harris - I had a wonderful time playing at the show. Mark Spriggs (Wagoner) was on bass, Pat McDeermott (Pawhuska) on lead, Andrea Turner (Jenks) on rhythm, Joe White (Glenpool) drums, and Mike McMahan (Wagoner) on vocals. We played various genres that exemplifies steel guitars in which you might not expect there to be a steel. Great time!! Thank you band.
Terry Wood and his son, Zane are from Marshfield, Mo. Terry always has uniqueness in his set. He's quite a performer. Thanks for being here, Terry. It sounded like someone else appreciated you being here with buying a "Terry built' steel guitar.
Paul King is an excellent player from Gainesville, Texas. If you missed the show, listen to Paul on his facebook posts, but nothing like LIVE music. Thank you Paul for bringing your friend with you to the show. We always enjoy you.
Michael Beasley is a good singer/steel player from Holts Summit, MO. Mike brings friends from the Texas area. Thanks for coming, Jackie Harmon and Phillip Ferguson.
Jack Phillips is a 17 year old rising star in the steel world. He is from Sulpher Bluff, Texas. He not only plays a beautiful steel after 2 1/2 years, but plays his fiddle with the best. He is currently playing steel for Bobby Flores and the Yellow Rose Band. Thanks for sharing your talents, Jack. David Englutt, great singing.
Jerry Foster - another Missouri steeler, was enjoyed by not only the crowd, but by the DJ "Hoot Owl". You will see a picture of Jim Jeffries coming out to our show. He loved hearing Jerry Foster play.
Corky Davis and the Cowboy Swing is an all-time favorite. When they sing with beautiful harmony "Tumbling Tumbleweed" by Sons of the Pioneers, the crowd lets them know how much they love them. A true country gentleman who carries on Western Swing/Country music.
Jim Dreadfulwater, a Tahlequah musician, started as a little boy in his brother's band. He is not only a great player, great singer, but an entertainer. If you have not ever heard Jim, make plans to be at our show next year. He is worth your trip.

Radio Station 99.5 Big Country from Tulsa, DJ Jim Jefferies AKA Hoot Owl interviewed me on Thursday morning and played an ad for our show. He came out to meet some of the folks and listen to the music. He didn't get to stay too long due to being the Emcee for Ronnie Milsap's show at the local casino. Thank you for your support.
Doyle Woods made sure that his buddy, Ed Doty, received the jacket for his birthday on June 28. Kay Cain made this and several donations in honor of her late husband, Allen Cain. Thank you so much for your years of service to the steel world.

This year, we had such a "sweet spirit" among our guests and players. Thank you to all of you who drove hundreds of miles, to those who are local, and those worked diligently in making our show a success. It was so fun meeting new friends and seeing old friends. In fact, on Friday, I put 4.03 miles on those cowboy boots I was wearing. If I didn't get to meet you, maybe the next time. Darlene Lemon, Ellen Hattabaugh, Vivian Richards, Karen White, Allison Phillips, Deanna Robertson, and Doug Cole, thank you for all the cooking you did to have special home-made food. I hope that I didn't leave anyone out of the list. Guy members, thank you for all that you did to make this a great show. It was crazy how fast it came and went. Lord Willing, we will see you all again next year (the weekend after Father's Day) Mark your calendar.
