Speaker Reconing

Post by John Dowden »

Does anyone have a line on any good speaker reconing companies? I've got a vintage alnico EV SRO 12 (the coffee can one) that I'd love to have reconed but my go to people, Orange County Speaker, don't exist anymore. I've tried getting in touch with the people on ebay about just buying the recone kit and doing it myself but they all said their kits are for the newer ceramic version.

I’ve always had good results with Freeman Tuell in Dallas.

LifeTime Warrantee

Post by George Piburn »

Contact EV Directly, those specific loudspeakers came with lifetime transferable warrantee.

That was what they told me when I went to EV Training to become a licensed Recone EV Service Center in the late 1990's.

If they still honor their original warrantee - EV most likely have a service center in your state.
