we will be having a steel guitar show again this may 21 and 22 as things are getting better and people getting there shots by then. some artists and players confirmed are russ and laney hicks/eddie lang/tyier hall/russ wever/joe wright/tobin hess/sara simmoms and kevin key on guitar/ dale thomas and several more to be announced so put this on your calender it will be held at the davenport Elks lodge more to come

Paul - I think the hotels are about 10 miles away.

I have only been to this venue one time, so I don't recall if there were many vendors.

I am planning to go this year for sure!

days inn walcott iowa says 50 dollar a night its 10 minutes away from the show as there are not any motels on the west end of davenport don't have much room for venders the motels are at i 80 and 60th ave. walcott iowa other players are dale thomas/ bobby frederick/ronnie moore/brus z/ray mangrum/possibly travis toy/randle curry/nelson wynn its a star studded show don"t miss it would like people to mention if your coming and share about event thanks guys

Hi Tom, what is the charge for attending, and will you be posting a line-up for Friday and Saturday. Booked my hotel, and looking forward to hear some great playing. It has been a few years since I last attended a steel show.

we will start friday around 5 30 will post schedule as we get closer some players might change as if they might have committments they have to meet but far so good looking forward to seeing you again

other players confirmed are ray mangrum of nashville/gary fairbanks cedar rapids iowa friday night show and dance is 10 dollars and 15 for all day saturday 11 till about 11 pm would like comments if you can make it as it will be a great show and get together as people getting there shots we plan on having outdoor area also sound and screen if you go outside during event more to come as we get closer

As far as i am concerned russ n laney are the king n queen of the steel guitar world, bringing some of your favorite songs back to life. sara simmons n kevin key are two of the best kept secrets in nashville, you dont want to miss this show.....

want to thank everyone who attended our steel show this last weekend .it was so great to see russ and laney hicks perform again .they put on a great show along with sara simmons and kevin key on guitar for all you that missed it dont know what to say the young steel player tobin hess was also awesome you will see him on the big stage somewhere not to distance future plus all the players and all who made it possible thank you
