Gibson Grande Console 7/8 string
7/8 string steel, CC pickups, real fine condition. The paper work that came with it said it was from the 50’s but I believe it dates to the 1930’s. I’d like to find a local SF Bay Area buyer, its real (!!!) heavy. More pics on request. $1500

Love the mute bar. I've heard of them but never seen one. Very cool!

Pre War, for Shore 😬
Wood you lookit that ‘heavy’ flaming maple! Wood-ah been top turnout for a sit-behind double from Gibson. Heavy indeed in that era. Hope you won’t need to ship this out from SF, Paul. Wish I could just smell it! ðŸ˜. Good Luck.
I have a double 8...
with CC's, and I replaced the Volume pot wth a pull switch-pot- fits in the same hole and switches between pickups. Works great, no new holes.
I don't need it, but I am so tempted!
How many legs (3 or 4)?

3 legged
If you have access to the Duchossior coffee table book, there’s an identical version (V2a) photo from John Sprung on pg 62, b0b. Also the mute is called an Abrams mute. Next page over on 63 is a blond version, with 3 legs.
Text below it says less than 10 were finished “in blonde during the pre-war eraâ€. 😯
Only missing parts (which may be elsewhere) are the bridge-cvr metal palm rests, but you DON’T need them either b0b, eh? 😬

Mega Time Capsule
A marvelous museum-grade example, Paul. Hope every move goes smoothly for you. It will, hopefully, be around for a player to enjoy for another 80- plus years! 😎
