What brand pickup would go good with a Sho Bud
Super Pro to make it cut?

Dan, I suppose I’m “old school” but I prefer an original Sho~Bud single coil wound to about 18,000 ohms or a Lawrence 710. Either will “cut thru” very well.

'Steeltronics' pickups. I installed one of his units modeled on the original ZB pickups in my Show-Pro guitar and am well pleased with the result. He also has the traditional style single coil version available as well.

It would be advisable to stick with a single coil in my opinion. If wound too hot, a pickup can become a bit sterile sounding and not cut the mix very well. 15k is a good number and is what a lot of the classic Buds from the 60’s were tapped at for their trademark sound.

I put 710's in a Super-Pro and a Professional. They were awesome.
