Today I turned down a call to work on a commercial fridge since I do not work on them. The call was for country singer Randy Travis. That made me think of his songs so I decided to try this one. |

I learned it from a Jeff Newman tab back in the day...
Randy used to come out to Josh Turner's gigs in Texas, and came to Billy Bob's one night. At the time, we had band intros where we each played a little something, and it wasn't completely scripted. When Josh introduced me that night, I went right into the 1982 Intro, then ending. I felt so much pressure to pull it off, and luckily I did. Glanced over and saw the biggest grin on Randy's face from his chair, stage right.
Great song, and it felt good to play it for him,

That's a great story David, thanks for sharing it with us. I always found the very first part of it to be a little tricky if I'm not warmed up. I can just picture you looking over and seeing Randy Travis grinning! |
