Interview in the New York City Jazz Record

Post by Susan Alcorn »

For those few who might be interested, here is an interview I did a few weeks ago for the March issue of the New York City Jazz Record.

We talked about a lot of things - music, improvisation, jazz, and, of course, the pedal steel guitar.

I hope you enjoy reading it.

Great article Susan, you have done so much to expand the limits of the Pedal Steel.

I really liked the fact that you got to meet and work with Conrad 'Prof' Johnson, he was such a great man and I love all the recordings he did with the Kashmere Stage Band. He inspired so many young people!

Looking forward to all your future projects!

Susan, you deserve every bit of the attention you are getting. Your music is vital and honest. You are an inspiration. Humbled that you mentioned me, thank you.
