Looks like a Gibson P-90 type pick up to me.

The P90 in the Gibson BR9's looks identical to that one.

The pointed piece of plastic came off a J-160E, but the leads to the pots look like they're too short to have come from that guitar.

Pickup

Post by Mikey Phillips »

I kind of came to the same conclusion Noah. The only pic I found was that of the Gibson. I don't think the leads have been altered. It all still works. This pickup does not have a cover like the P-90's so you might think it was an undermount design.

dating by the pot codes

There should be some numbers on the pots, and you can date them by that, maybe a date code on the big capacitor too.
