Looking for BJS tone bar

Post by Jed Boole »

Looking for a BJS Tone bar, preferably a 7/8 x 3 3/4 to 4” but am open to hear what other sizes anyone may have, since they seem to be hard to come by. Thank you!

Not meant to be insulting:
Standard BJS bars in 7/8 run from 3 inches up thru 3 3/4 inches ----15/16 3 3/8
The bar shouldn't cover all the strings.
Part of learning to play is to move the bar forward on the strings you are playing.
There is a BJS website.

Thank you for your input. Yes I don’t seem to be struggling with moving my bar back and forth when I shift strings, it was actually a suggestion from another steeler on here that thought my current bar at 3 3/8 looks small in my hands and that with a longer bar I would have more control over it. Being seated in the pocket of my hand a bit more. But 3 3/4 would do just fine. I’ve been to the website and they are all sold out. I emailed them and Butch at BJS said he will have more in March. So I’m just hoping to either find one before then or I’ll have to wait I guess. Anyhow thank you for your response!
