This is my D10 bolton I got from Allen Howington. Fantastic guitar. On one of the brackets there are these numbers. Do they ring a bell with anyone?

No. It's a '66-'67 D10 bolton. I'd sure like to know what these numbers signifies.

| That would most likely be a machine shops ID stamp. That guitar would not have came with more than 2 or 3 levers, If any, so that part is likely not original. |

I have 005DR so I suspect they produced at least 5 as a reissue? .. aluminum neck bolt on changer stamped on the endplate.. had a conversation with Mike Cass several years ago about wrap #3 for sale and he recalls building this 005DR at Emmons shop...but who knows
What number is stamped on your endplate?

Based on past discussions here I thought the "DR" was the designation for the reissue guitars. The bracket looks cast, not extruded. Could be a re-issue guitar, or could be just a stray part. The phillips head screws and adjacent abandoned screw holes are a clue, to what I don't know. The screw hole spacing is different than whatever was there previously.
I believe Doug Palmer may have built a few reissues, perhaps he can share some further insights.
George - does your reissue have a metal badge or a decal?

Thanks Ian. The guitar is definitely not a reissue. I can trace it back to either the original owner or the second one.

It has a decal.
I also have D-1063 that has a badge, original owner brought it back to Emmons fir some work and they put a badge on it then..guess that happened a fair amount

I was told the guitar was owned by Mr. Larry Haddock who was supposed to have been a terrific guitar player. Either he, or the gentleman after him, purchased the guitar, used, at the Emmons Company. The story goes is he walked down a line of push pull D10s, strumming them unplugged. This one had the most resonance and "pop." The guitar needs some setup work but it is a wonderful invoice-number steel. This is the information to the best of my knowledge. If I am wrong, I apologize. Don't want to get into trouble again like I did a few weeks ago.
