Ray Price MIDI Files

Post by Mark Dunn »

Looking for a source of Ray Price MIDI file tracks to mess with, if anyone knows where some might be available. Looking for files with a nice straight drum, walking bass and piano groove.
Cheers Mark

Google Ray Price midi files, or a specific song. You will find both free and for sale files. I built up quite a collection of midi files in the mid 90's this way. Many free files are quite good. I found large files of the same song were usually better arranged, but not always. Paid or free, you will need to listen to the file to determine the quality. I found payment did not necessarily translate to quality. I was never one to reinvent the wheel and tweaked many free files to my liking.

Many thanks for that Jim. I have had a search and was surprised how few files I found. And the quality of the songs I listened too, wasn't great.

I see Jim Baron has produced some Ray Price BIAB styles. Might check those out.

Hello Neil
I know David, he lives just down the road from me, we've recorded a few YouTube's over the years. David produces some fantastic material, but not the tracks I'm looking for, or in the Ray Price style. I'm also looking for MIDI tracks so I can change the key, tempo and re-arrange easily. But thanks for posting.
