FS/FT: Rickenbacker A22 Frying Pan serial # 005

Post by Ryan Lunenfeld »

Back up again, but for trade, and I think at a more reasonable price?

Rickenbacker a22 serial #005, either 1934 or 1935? unsure of the exact date. Bought from James Williamson of The Stooges fame.

When originally posted it had a lollar pick up, I swapped that out for the pick up from my silver hawaiian to be more "original" ?... It's a 1/2" horse shoe as well. But has the patent number on it, unlike the older horse shoes.

The bad news, in the mean time, i broke two of the buttons, I have two similar ones I picked up at a local guitar shop, but they don't match the ones on the frying pan. So I was waiting to buy one from stewmac that'd match better(was also waiting to get some more money to buy more things at once so the shipping would make more sense!)

Sale wise I'm looking to get $2500 + shipping out of it

Trade wise value I'm looking at is $3000

Trades I am interested in:

Mainly a newer lap steel with some more modern functionality :-)...I love the frying pan with it's history, but I think someone with more talent or interest in that aspect might be more into it.

Pedal Steels, Gibson EH 275, Duessenbergs, Clinesmiths, sierras, resonators...interesting things!

Right now I've got 3 6 strings, an 8 string and resonator. I'm looking for something different to mess around on.

Let me know! located in Denver, and definitely prefer in person pickup!

I'll take pics shortly if there's interest in it! thanks in advance :-)

dropped price on the Ricky, and added a few more items. I can take more pics for the other items if people are interested! :-)

The oil cans are really damn interesting. all this stuff is...and it's all pretty darn quiet for being analog. I like chaining a few of these together, they overload is such nice ways!!!

The Cat Can is no longer for sale...I kind of completely fell in love with it! it's now my Lap go to over an eh185, frying pan and silver hawaiian.

Model 59 has been sold.

I'm not too keen on selling the Frying Pan, but really need the money. so it's still up for sale. The effects are still for sale too :)

I think maybe your edits resulted in my confusion...but I gather you didn't drop the frypan to 500!

(On the outsize chance that that were the case, I'm yer huckleberry :) )

'haha, sorry, that was another item I had for sale, I didn't want to create 1000 for sale ads. That was for a rickenbacker model 59...I do regret selling that one, it sounded amazing!

Hehe no worries I figured as much...too good to be true for sure!

If you do end up selling it and want something similar but modern...you mentioned Clinesmith, I can't recommend his frypans enough!
