Tom Brumley's First Pedal

Post by b0b »

I've been looking into Tom Brumley's 11-string E9th 4+6 copedent. His first pedal raises the 7th string F# to G# and does something to the 10th string. Sources differ on this. Some say it raises the B to C#, others say it lowers B to G#.

Both ideas make sense, but I tend to believe the lower to G# because he already had the C# on his 2nd pedal. Does anyone here have first hand experience with Tom's guitar?

Image when i got it it was in rough condition, it only had three pedals, but the person i got it from had acquired 4 extra pedals. i might go with 6 pedals and 6 knees depending on info i get between now and when i get ready to assemble it. i have talked to don at bmi and he is going to make new corner blocks and i will probably buy new alum legs for it....thanks jack

I have Tom's Dwight Yoakam 11 string ZB(I Sang Dixie)
and the chart is correct. I also have one of his Fender Bassman amps, I told Rolene one time that I have his guitar and his amp but I still did not sound like Tom, she laughed and said I needed his hands. I think she was correct.
