Bud, I'm not sure you'd go wrong with either... I've used both, gave away a 2i2 Scarlett and use PreSonus now for several years... Both good quality Interfaces.
The Scarlett is fine. Since COVID my company eased a good portion of my work as a recording engineer/sound designer for film and video home with me. They asked me for a list of gear and I built up a DAW for home. I spec'd the Scarlett 2i2 Gen3 because we had just installed five of them in video editing suites and the maintenance engineers spoke highly of them. The Scarlett was one of the easiest installations I've ever done and it has worked flawlessly ever since.

I've had a presonus for awhile and I had a Scarlett 2i2 Gen 2 but I can't find it, both work great on Mac, but you should check sweetwater reviews and if their drivers have windows issues, I would guess not.

I’ve had a Scarlett 2i2, and it’s a great box UNTIL YOU NEED TO GET WARRANTY SERVICE.
The quality of the box is generally pretty good, however they spared the rod when it came to procuring the USB connector. This part failed, (and sometimes things do fail) however from the time I instigated a warranty repair RMA request, until I got the unit back was over a month! I had a recording obligation to meet and despite several communications with Focusrite, I had to just bite the bullet and buy another interface in the interum. I got an Audient EVO and I’m very happy with that unit.
So Scarlett 2i2? Nice when it works. USB connector should not have gone the cheapo route however. Useless customer support. Worse than useless. If I knew from the get go they were going to screw me around, I’d of just bought the Audient right out of the chute. I’m VERY disappointed in that aspect of Focusrite..
