This belonged to my recently deceased buddy, Johnnie Robbins. Janet (the seller) is his daughter. She doesn't know the technical stuff about pedal steels, so I'll try to fill you in. I haven't seen or played this guitar, as it's been over a year since I visited Johnnie in West Virginia.

I think Johnnie bought the guitar fairly recently at Billy Cooper's shop. Johnnie used to play an MSA U-12, so it's probably set up with a low G# as the 10th string and no D string. Here's the copedent from his Desert Rose, which I set up for him when he lived in California. The MSA is probably set up the same way. The copedent is very intuitive. Johnnie also played lap steel tuned to B6th. His RKL gave him that same B6th tuning on pedal steel.

Johnnie Robbins took good care of his equipment. He played at home and in church - never in bars. He was a devoted Christian, and I'm sure that this guitar holds some "good vibrations" from his ownership of it.

Except for P1 and the lack of a vertical KL, this guitar's tuning is identical to the coped I've been using for many years, right down to the KL positions and the E to D lower on LKR. I have found it much more versatile than standard E9, despite being only slightly different.

Its basically standard e9/b6 universal without the 2 lowest strings correct?

Johnny used to play a U-12, but never learned the B6th pedals. I helped him sell his 12-string MSA here on the forum years ago. It was similar in appearance.
