Question on a Boss Rv2

I have a Boss RV-2 I need a power supply for it does it take one made just for it.Or will a Boss standard power supply work on it thanks

Recommended AC Adaptor: Boss PSA Series

Boss recommends its own adapters claiming other warts will damage the pedal. Something to do with power supply switching. Some say it's a marketing ploy but on the plus side, your pedal is now complete with original adapter which adds to the resell value.

The RV-2 takes: Current Draw: 130 mA (DC 9V)

The PSA adapter is rated for 200mA.

If you have other pedals in line and power it off a 200mA adapter, if the reverb unit is taking 130mA you might run out of power for the other pedals.

For that there are other adapter power supplies with more mA's.

Ojai by Strymon does 500mA per output powers nearly any pedal.
