1967 Emmons original Push-Pull D-10 Cut-Tail #1165 Excellent condition. 8X5 Emmons copedent with E changes on left per standard Emmons. Modern shorter KLs (not black ). Everything else totally original to the guitar as it came from the Emmons Co in 1967. Not a re mica'd cabinet..ORIGINAL. Rebuilt and set up by Lynn Stafford. Professionally polished. Sounds like a 67 wood stop bar cut tail should (awesome) and plays like a dream. It needs nothing...plug and play. Comes with Bentley lightweight padded fiber split cases and Emmons VP.

1967 Cut Tail PP Emmons

Post by Lynn Stafford »

John,

I rebuilt that wonderful sounding Emmons for the late Bruce Algera a few years ago. I do know some of its history, so I'll try and give you a call later today.
Best regards,
Lynn Stafford

I just got off the phone with Lynn who is as always, encyclopedic in his knowledge, and generous beyond belief in his willingness to share, help and enlighten, and man oh man, a conversation with Lynn is always enlightening. Thanks to Lynn one of the rare gems in the steel guitar firmament!

Hey John, This is the 4th of July weekend coming up. What fireworks this baby could do. This is the cream of the crop in my opinion. If you want the Classic Emmons and the Classic sound of Emmons this is it. My friend Henry Matthews has a 1968 Emmons that has the Growl like you hear about, fantastic guitar. This should of been gone by now. Hang in there, it will sell. J.R.

Eye candy for sure John! Years ago I had a 67 bolt on that was the best sounding guitar I've ever owned. I realize this is a cut-tail and a real gem! I wish I could pull the trigger myself but oh well. Good luck with the sale... someone will get a great guitar!!
