I have been watching this show and the musicians are incredible. They also pick out some really good country music to play. The person in charge of the music does not limit the musicians in any way. He lets them create their parts the way they want to play. You can tell Doug is happy by that grin after he amazes the other musicians. Haggard's ex guitar player is also picking some great licks. Not to mention at least three different fiddle players. All good.

Watched the YouTube video. Great show and Doug is his usual killer steel licks self. Recognized the fiddle player from steel conventions. Shes incredible.

And I would like to add that Anita Anderson is a very outstanding vocalist and not bad looking also. Have a couple of her CD's and they are awesome. J.R.

So cool to see Doug - a Top 3 player in the world IMO - calmly spooling out these beautiful E9 lines, knowing he’s got these Ferrari-level chops under the hood/on the other neck.

This a great show.

I watch this show every Saturday without fail. Jernigan really nails every tune he plays as usual! Eugene Moles (son of Gene) is a monster Tele man for sure. The show also features Ronnie Stoneman on banjo and comedy. I see ol' Smiley Roberts also appears on some of the comedy clips. On one show Merlin mentioned that he played some on the west coast and was a pedal steel player. Has anyone ever seen him play?........JH in Va.
Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!

We just watched an episode on RFD. Very Hee-Haw like.

Ronnie Godfrey, former keyboard player/vocalist/songwriter for The Marshall Tucker Band was on keyboards.

Very good band.

There are only two options as I see it.
Either I'm right, or there is a sinister conspiracy to conceal the fact that I'm right.

I had Marty Haggard here in Albert Lea at the Marion Ross PAC a couple years ago.
He came in with his own guitar player and that's it. I now know who Eugene Moles is........once you hear him you won't forget him! This was a tribute to Merle with only Marty & Eugene on the stage. Half way through the first tune.....I never thought about Drums-Bass-piano or steel
again that night. It was so AMAZING.. :whoa: ...you really had to be there!!!
Marty's voice and rhythm guitar with Eugene's magic on lead telecaster!!!!! Took me a few days to come down off from that high!!!
