One has become available locally and i haven't been to see it yet, anybody have any experience with them?
I've only played vintage Weisennborn's and don't expect a cheap import to be like one very much but they sure look good. |

Well, guess I'll have to try and go meet it then. My Oahu's have that territory pretty well covered but i might be able to trade something im not using for it, always room for another steel. |

I had one for a few years.
It was the 'deep body' model and it did have a huge voice. It sounded very good.
The finish was OK. It had a few areas of orange peel etc.
After about 4 years it began separating at the upper left bout at the binding.
It got to be around 5 inches in length and about 1/8" wide.
It never left my music room which is kept at 50% humidity.
I donated it to Goodwill at the same time I sold about 1/2 my instruments because of our move to Minnesota this April.
It was just time to clean house. _________________ I have stuff.
I try to make music with it.
Sometimes it works.
Sometimes it doesn't.
But I keep on trying. |
