Vibroverb 64 Custom RI, Hand Wired, any opinions??

Post by Francisco Castillo »

Hi all !!

i found a Fender '64 RI Hand Wired (custom shop) being offered here in my country.
The one with 1x15 speaker, Cesar Diaz mods according to SRV specs, and other features

It's not cheap, aprox U$ 1700.

Question, anyone here knows it? use it?
Opinions? is the price ok?

thanks a lot
stay safe at home.

Its been my main pedal steel amp for 4 years, The Diaz modded Fender Vibroverb's make great steel amps , as they are louder and beefier than the originals,
Big iron in them , you have the choice of solid state rectifier or tube , with a switch,
Pretty cool amp for guitar too, surprising amount gain with the diaz switch in the back engaged, more than any blackface i have ever encountered,

But for steel just stick with the stock 64 circuit engaged, its in the back as well,
Cool amp if a classic blackface sound is what your after, and you can hang with a band, its got punch.

Francisco, I’m so happy to hear there is a steel guitar player on Easter Island.
Cheers, John
