Could it be a 1st in history no steel on a country awards show? Still, have to say, I really enjoyed it for the 1st time in ages. Real, intimate, live (mostly) performances. You could more clearly the amazing talent that got them where they are. Wow, Tim McGraw, Gwen Stefani. What a voice. Miranda, Sheryl Crow. Dirks making the camera bounce with his boot. Really reality tv. Mono, lo-fi. Raw.
Was tickled to hear a few seconds of my steel on there with the Shania flashback. Great band. A couple incredible musicians no longer with us, Terry McMillan and Will Owsley.
Looking so forward to the end of this current situation and the world being healthy again. And maybe being able to work again! Still though, I hope they, the show producers and artists and we, all remember how much we can do with so very little. Peace |
