"Tone is in the hands. Unless your wife will let you buy a new amp. Then it's definitely in that amp."
We need to turn the TWANG up a little
It's not what you play through, it's what you play through it.
They say that tone is all in the fingers...I say it is all in your head
Some of the best pieces of life are the little pieces all added up..Ron
the value of friendship. Old friends shine like diamonds, you can always call them and - most important - you can't buy them.

A truly exceptional singer. He had chops and great tone.
Barry Blackwood, 'Ships That Don't Come In' is one of my favourite recordings by anybody; it's a fine song, too.
Joe did a few too many 'good ole boy' songs for my taste but I have his entire catalog nonetheless. A voice of rare quality.
RIP, Joe Diffie, and my sympathies to his family. There must be a good band that no longer has a gig, too.

A special talent for sure. My favovite. A night to remember.[/u] [/u]I also enjoyed, Bigger than the Beatles. He sings the harmonies at end just like the close harmony on the last chord of She loves you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZJCDfEcFh8

It's suddenly struck me that, in too short a space of time, we've lost two of country music's truly exceptional vocalists: Daryle Singletary and now Joe Diffie.
The loss of them both represents a major loss to music.

So sad. Here's a Harlan Howard and Don Cook song masterfully played by Paul Franklin and sung by Joe Diffie:
