Lookie! We have a beautiful tobacco brown Fender Artist D10, we just took in on trade.
Built by Dad and the Sho-Bud crew, around 1975. Dad has gone over everything and gives it two thumbs-up.
8 foot pedals, 5 knee levers.
E9 changes:
Pedal 1 raises 5 & 10
Pedal 2 raises 3 & 6
Pedal 3 raises 4 & 5
LL1 raises 4 & 8
LL2 raises 1 & 6
LR raises 1 & 7
RL lowers 4 & 8
RR lowers 2
C6 changes:
Pedal 4 raises 7 and lowers 10
Pedal 5 raises 1 and lowers 5
Pedal 6 raises 2
Pedal 7 raises 3 & 4
Pedal 8 raises 4 & 8
RL lowers 3
Minor nicks here and there, but really good overall condition and plays great!

A lot of the 4400 units made (S10s, D10s and "Maverick" students) ended up in UK and Europa, I've gigged a D10 since about 1980 to recent retirement. Great guitars, hard to break a string with the Fender knife-edge pivot system! (only happened once on stage in all those years). I had mine up to 8+8 using 'Bud parts, but now it's got 3+5 on E9 and 5+4 on C6th (using 2 "central" levers on C6 and RKs on both necks) so that works out at 8+7. So, plenty scope.
Tone is pretty Fender-ish due to the pups. The fretboards on this one have been swapped out for ShoBud card motifs, originals boards were Stringmaster pattern.
Seriously, I would buy this (and have two) if it was this side of the Atlantic, somebody has to score a fab guitar here; good luck.

Yes it's Fender (see my earlier post) and no, it never went on a ShoBud.

Thanks Mike! One of my favorite pair They have smiling tacos and avocados on them, with legs of course.

Brian, these Fender changers used modified knife edge fingers (like Tony said), which were designed by my dad (David). The objective was to incorporate Fender's sound with the Sho-Bud raise and lower pulling mechanics.
