Steel guitar forgotten with classic artists

That's funny about George Strait. Old Country meant something to me in the 1970's, A few pre-WW2 artists were still performing then. Garth Brooks would be considered old country to today's teens, Hank Jr would be considered really old, and Hank Sr would be ancient, lol.

We went and seen Bill Anderson a couple years ago,he had no steel guitar in his band,I was never so disappointed in a singer in my life than I was that night!!

Funny, I don't really associate Bill's music with steel guitar....
