Been watching this video the last few night on You Tube.
Wow. 1983 was 37 years ago.
These guys were killing it.
Junior Knight taking no prisoners right off the top.
Gary Hogue. Got it all going on.
Then Steve Palosek shows up, Holy Cow these guys could play fast.
Then the mystery player down at the end, playing a Franklin. I just found the guys name, Willie Kaluza. Just as good as these other players. Wearing a straw hat and chewing gum as if this was no big deal.
I gotta think these guys were all playing 6 night a week gigs. Their chops are so up.
The video is low fi and kind of a goofy family atmosphere.
But the playing, really impressive. .
