Hey ya'll!
Homespun Videos has just released the video I did for them.
"Pedal Steel Guitar for Guitar Players"
It is basically a "first lesson" for people coming into the pedal steel guitar. But it links in knowledge that you would have if you are coming from standard 6 string guitar!
It includes the exact backing tracks that I use in the video for the student to download and use. A great "overview" and "first lesson" on the instrument to get you started or see if you even want to get started! If you know guitar players that might be interested in pedal steel this is the video to send them to!

It is far from comprehensive but it introduces people to the instrument and shows how some of their knowledge of guitar will transfer over to the instrument.
Beautifully shot with multiple HD camera angles and wonderful audio it should be quite enjoyable to watch and listen to.

Hey Josh -- congrats. Happy Traum's Homespun is literally right down the road from me & I've bought several of their vids over the years. I just received notification of this offering. I immediately thought that whatever you did, it would be good. The specific focus in the title is one that would address the need a large number of (guitar) players, I'd think. Especially those who tried the 'pedal steel licks, played on a guitar' angle and decided that no, they needed to get real.
Nice going!
