I loved the flying toasters screensaver! I used to watch Leo Laporte and Andrew Norton's program, The Screensavers, on Tech TV (now called TWIT)

Funny story, I knew a guy who keep his mother's business computers going. He made an opening screen that came up blue with "Your computer has crashed, please restart it."
She finally called him the next day around 10 AM (after rebooting 100's of times) and told him he would have to come in. He told just to not do anything and it would "fix" itself...
She finally figure out he had tricked her.
I also used to like the "Coke Gift" that popped out the CD tray as a cup holder...

It was a very interesting time. I was programming imaging applications for DOS, like the origins of PhotoShop. WE had to use a separate monitor because the DOS screen wasn't color. Just text and the lines between text options.
Now you can do it all with your finger on a "phone".
