I just saw on Facebook that Jack passed away today. I have no details yet. He was one of my greatest supporters when we produced the Gospel Steel Guitar Show here in Indy.

Aww man...Jack was a character. He would walk by while you were playing and lay a card on your steel. I can't say what was printed on it here, but it would crack you up.

Built the Jac-Pac seats in earlier days.

Good guy, great steel player and otherwise fine musician. He's missed by the steel community.

Condolences to the family.

Jack was quite a guy. He appeared a few times at the Oklahoma Steel Guitar Show. His first time was when he was playing a red MCI guitar. For whatever reason, he had stripped the original logo off the front apron and had big white letters spelling "Generic" on the front. It got quite a few laughs from the crowd.

Jack played with the most emotional facial expressions and style. Funny guy with a great personality. RIP Jack.

Wow, so sorry to hear this, he was on my mind a few days ago. I always love to hear him play back years ago such feeling in pretty big cords he would play.
