I was wondering if someone could help me out regarding the string spacing at the changer on a Derby.

Is it 11/32 or wider? It seems wider to me than my GFI, which the GFI folks tell me is 11/32 as well.

If the Derby is wider, what other makers use this wider spacing?

Thanks

Joe

You figured: “I'll just Post on the Forum, because; ‘Big John’ is a (big mouth) and he'll jump right in there and answer my question”! Well OK, I will and he did! The Derby spacing is 11/32” over the Bridge and 9/32” over the Nut! I don't remember what the GFI was, but; I don't notice any difference at all!

Yep, you're right.

I figured Big Mouth, Big John would step up to the plate, speaking of himself in the third person, and save the day. Just like Superman. My hero!

Actually, thank you very much for the information. That helps me decide which way to go on a new pedal steel.
